The Wonders of The Cape Point Nature Reserve

The Nature Reserve on the Point of Cape Town :D

Friday, 27 September 2013. This day was one of the most remarkable days in my life. I finally got to experience the most beautiful part of Southern Africa!! Well it might not be the most beautiful to others but it was and still is to me.
I always saw pictures in books and on the internet of what The Cape Point looked like but never have I ever experienced the true beauty of the place itself. Visiting the Cape Point Nature Reserve was one of the things i had written on my bucket list, not really the reserve, but going to Cape Point.

It was cold and very windy en Remonde Cordon hou mos nikis van koud kry nie!!! I was dressed very warm and I made sure that i was getting warm enough to not complain about getting cold all day. Before we left to the reserve one of our lecturers explained the rules and safety tips to us.........one of these were that we should not climb rocks or stand near to cliffs if it happens to be very windy..........I immediately told my friends that they should hold me to the ground because I am seriously so light that it would not be impossible that i would just fly away, soos n stukkie lappie deur die lug.
............tjoh!!!!! Nog nooit nie!!!!
So thank you to Tammy, Nastasja, Laurentia and Dario for being such awesome buddies and not allowing the wind to blow me away. Julle het my dag nog meer fun gemaak met al ons "inside" jokes. sssssshhh!
 :D

well, the wind was extremely strong at the light house when we finally got to the top. From the light house I observed the vast beauty of ocean waves that looked as white as snow when breaking, the ocean was freshly blue and the cool breeze felt so so fresh!! The sight was just so extremely beautiful. One could only experience this beauty when seeing it with your own two eyes.
The experience was truly remarkable!

The whole point of going on the excursion was to do a Life Science practical. By the look of things on the day only a hand full of the students completed the handout, while the rest of the students ended up exploring the reserve and capturing the beauty of the Cape Point Nature Reserve in the background of the many pictures that they took.
I really enjoyed the experience, it was truly remarkable!!
Big ups to the Life Science 151 team for arranging this excursion
